Reclaiming a Crawl Space

After a recent flood in our area, our crawl space is completely filled in with dirt. We have been advised that this needs to be removed immediately and someone suggested vacuum excavation rather than traditional excavation. I’m not familiar with this process but will be looking for a contractor trained in this method as I hear it is less expensive and less invasive. Not only that, but vacuum excavation is commonly used in flood plains so they are more prepared to deal with the flood mud as it’s commonly called. I’m learning so much after this disaster, but vacuum excavation may be the most useful.
